Corduff 220 KV Station for ESB National Grid
Civil and infrastructural works for 220 KVA substation are implemented in Corduff, Blanchardstown.
This is the Ireland’s largest substation transmitting power in the greater Dublin area, at the time, and providing a platform for industrial growth and domestic development.
Over a 14 month period, it is constructed and commissioned over 20 bays of double 220 kV and 110 kV busbars; 110 kV and 220 kV line bays; 110 kV and 220 kV bus coupler bays; 110 kV and 220 kV sectionalizing bays and associated transformer bays. The station has a numerical substation control system (SCS). It has a distributed control and protection scheme and protection schemes on both the 220 kV and 110 kV busbars.
