Ground improvement, infrastructure works and buildings construction of 150 MW peat powered power plant.
Project consists of all earthworks, underground piping services, concrete construction of all buildings on site. There are app. 10 main building, 10,500 m2 building footprint, 45,000 m2 site construction area, 235,000 m3 building volume, 71,000 m2 access roads.
Civil and infrastructural works for 220 KVA substation are implemented in Corduff, Blanchardstown.
This is the Ireland’s largest substation transmitting power in the greater Dublin area, at the time, and providing a platform for industrial growth and domestic development.
Over a 14 month period, it is constructed and commissioned over 20 bays of double 220 kV and 110 kV busbars; 110 kV and 220 kV line bays; 110 kV and 220 kV bus coupler bays; 110 kV and 220 kV sectionalizing bays and associated transformer bays. The station has a numerical substation control system (SCS). It has a distributed control and protection scheme and protection schemes on both the 220 kV and 110 kV busbars.
4 storey + underground car park which compromises 5,272 m2 closed area with two entrances, 29 Car park spaces in the basement, 58 car park facilities externally and 300 m2 multi-purpose storage area.
In keeping with the quality established by the existing building within Northwood Avenue is being designed and built to the highest possible specifications the external facade consist of industry-renowned ‘Techrete’ architectural panels finished in Portland Stone and Granite. This is complemented by extensive planar glazing resulting in an exceptionally high quality external finish, as befitting the pivotal location of the building. Internally, the double-height glazed atrium provided an attractive reception area with limestone/granite flooring, while the toilet areas are fitted complete with quality ceramic tiling of floors and walls, high quality sanitary ware and electric showers and hand driers. With regard to the office areas, the specifications and finishes are in keeping with a landmark building of this caliber.
GAMA executed construction of 67 houses, community facility, shop unit, external works and site development works.
This scheme consists of 67 units arranged as apartments, duplexes, one and two storey terrace houses plus a community facility. The development is designed to cater for all types of social housing clients including disabled, single person occupancy and large families. The scheme is designed to create a sense of enclosure and ownership of common areas arranged around a link between an adjacent existing green and the local primary school.
Phase I: Construction of 12.6 km of new road built as dual carriageway and 1.2 km of new and widened road built as a 10 m wide single carriageway, which form the N18 Eastern Bypass. Construction of 2.5 km of new road built as dual carriageway and 4.6 km of new road built as single carriageway, which form the N85 Western Relief Road, construction of 3 grade separated junctions including ramps on the N18 Eastern Bypass and 6 roundabout junctions on the N85 Western Relief Road, construction of 10 major new structures, including 5 underpasses and 4 overpasses side road diversions with 10 km of new link roads to existing roads, construction of 60 km drainage, fencing, ducting, watermains, lighting, signs and road markings, all in European Union Standards.
Phase II: Bandon Road Roundabout Advance Works include the widening of the Bandon Road roundabout carriageway, construction of the eastbound exit ramp from Ballincollig Bypass to Bandon Road Roundabout, Heiton-Buckley’s two-way link road, the westbound ramp from Bandon Road Roundabout to Ballincollig Bypass and remodelling of the Dunnes Stores Bishopstown shopping centre public road access and widening of the N71 for app.240m.

Civil Works of 343 MW Huntstown Combined Cycle Power Plant which consists of all the civil works of the Huntstown Combined Cycle Power Plant. Mechanical and Electrical Erection Work for 343 MW of one units of HRSG Equipment for Huntstown Combined Cycle Power Plant, in accordance with ASME “S” or “A” stamp and CE-marking requirements.
Civil works part of project is executed by Bowen – GAMA Ireland JV, in which GAMA has share.
